BSA Troop 25 Summer Camp 2004
Summer camp 2004 was awesome. We took fourteen Scouts (including a visitor from another troop) to our local Camp La No Che during week one of camp. We lucked out that the weather was mostly great, and the mosquitoes were almost non-existent! We still had to put up with the old bathroom and shower facility, but at least they had a brand new activities building for us at our campsite. Best of all, a lot of merit badges were earned during that week, and three of our new scouts--Stevie H., Marc S., and Sean T.--met a good portion of their rank requirements toward First Class.
Four of our older Scouts--Josh B., Julian J., Matt R., and Jonathan S.--participated in Project COPE, which is an intense outdoor skills and team building program. Troop 25 competed in various troop competitions and won first place in our class division for skits (coming in second camp-wide), and also took home an award for rifle shooting. Our boys (as well as the adults who attended) all had a great time!
