Starting next week, June 6, we will be meeting in the 8th grade classrooms in building G, the new school building at Good Shepherd. We will be meeting there until early August.

The Scouts from our troop who participated in the ceremonies team competition at the Order of the Arrow Section Conference did great. The Klallam Chapter sent two teams to compete to represent Tipisa Lodge in this state-wide event, and four boys from Troop 25 were among those (Tim E., Matt R., Max S., and David Y., plus Robert F. as both an elangomat and torch bearer). Both teams won honors in their individual competitions, which is the same as coming in second place. In the case of Team Eagle, they have only been together for six months, and the team that beat them has been together for several years. Terrific job!

During the PLC meeting, it was determined that due to the number of events scheduled for the month of May, the proposed "Survivor" campout will be postponed until later in the year, perhaps August.

A contingent of Scouts from Troop 25 is representing the Klallam Chapter of the Order of the Arrow this weekend at the Section Conference. Let's root for them as they compete on the ceremonies teams. Good luck, guys!

Our campout at the Chambers Farm Pow Wow went great. Despite setting up camp in the pouring rain on Friday (compliments to all Scouts for doing a fine job during rough conditions), the campout went smoothly. All of the Scouts participated in community service by helping direct cars in the parking area and also by running errands and taking out trash in the arena where the vendor booths were set up. We hosted members of the Klallam Chapter of the Order of the Arrow, and it was great sharing experience getting to know those Scouts and adult leaders. Everyone was able to experience a little bit of American culture that we often don't get to see and had a terrific time in the process.
